The department of oral medicine and maxillofacial radiology is headed by Professor Dr. Sumal.V.Raj, He is assisted by Dr. Abhilash.R.Krishnan, Senior lecturer, Dr. Minu Mohan and Dr. Sujith Prakash, lecturers. Apart from seeing the routine OP cases we also perform diagnostic test and management of premalignancies, other mucosal lesions, skin and bony pathologies. Temperomandibular joint disorders are also being diagnosed and successfully treated in the department. With a systematic approach and team work of dedicated faculty, we also diagnose undetermined systemic diseases since “mouth is the mirror of the body”. The department is well equipped with most modern diagnostic amenities like digital radiography, orthopantomogram and cephalogram.
